President Obama Signs Health Reform Into Law
President Obama signs the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, a historic piece of legislation that will expand health insurance coverage to millions of Americans and put an end to the worst insurance industry practices.
Gotta love the fact that these idiots crammed through this bill without a SINGLE Republican vote. Republicans are against it and the majority of Americans were and still are against it. So savor the flavor. Come November, everything will change. You cannot lead and piss on the denizens of this country that did not want this bill passed through. The Democrats pushed this crap through because Obama has done NOTHING as President. Just so he could make this moot speech. They will be losing theirjobs
@MURFBAYER You’re right. It IS unconstitutional to force the public to EVER buy anything from the government. Kind of funny actually since Obama was a Constitutional attorney. And by the way, the intial price of this was sitting around 900 billion. After it was signed into law. It was found that this idiotic bill is going to cost over 2.6 trillion. Tax tax tax tax.
joshatkins94, It’s a government program when the government forces its people and companies to pay for it. It’s also unconstitutional to force people to pay for it. The argument about forcing auto insurance is not the same thing. The majority of the people did not support this bill; you had better check your facts. It is also dropping in support now that we find that it will cost more and this administration is saying rationing will have to be enforced. Sorry your Boy is losing support.

@MURFBAYER thing is there **is no government program**. they didn’t create one! a public option would have been a quasi-govt program, but it would have been just a govt option for insurance — not healthcare itself — and it was overwhelmingly supported by the polls – generally in the 60s and 70s percentages. a single-payer program would be a real govt program, like in other capitalist countries like Canada, Australia, New Zealand, etc. true govt run healthcare would be like the NHS, in the UK.

@DKT196908 Thats about right. J I Case company, has been figuring the pay poll tax fine fine for dropping healthcare on their employees,Hmmmm. They have figured out that it would be cheaper to drop health ins. and pay a fine, than pay out over 3 million dollars in healthcare costs annually. Dell is also doing it,and so is Johndeere. So whats happening is, the healthcare reform is costing health insurance for millions of people. Because its cheaper to pay a fine, than pay ins.

My company had its first meeting with out new CEO. A union guy asked what the company will do about the Obama Health Care Bill. His reply is that they are looking at higher taxes which will be passed on to the customers. Some of our medical benefits if too expensive will have to be dropped and we will have to rely on the Government program. I looked around at the Union guys and I was laughing. They use to have Obama signs, now they wont even debate me about him. Just love that liberal thinking.
